Guarantor of EPP “Political science” PhD program

The main areas of scientific research: social foundations and legal regulation of political relations.

Teaches author’s courses:

“Modern foreign constitutionalism” EPP "Political science" Bachelor’s degree program;

“Introduction to the University Studio” EPP "Political science" Bachelor’s degree program”;

 “Social foundations of politics” EPP "Political science" Bachelor’s degree program;

“Methods of teaching socio-political disciplines in the institutions of higher education” EPP "Political science" Master’s degree program.

Shliakhtun Petro is the author of about 160 scientific and educational works, including two individual monographs, seven textbooks and tutorials, three dictionaries.

For 27 years Shliakhtun Petro was the head specialized scientific council for graduation degree of PhD and doctoral dissertations in the field of political sciences.

Under his scientific supervision four doctoral and 17 PhD dissertations were graduated.

Shliakhtun Petro was awarded the Order “For Merit” of the III degree, the Sign “Excellence in the Education of Ukraine”, the Sign of the Academic Council of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, a decision of the Academic Council of the University he was awarded the honorary title “Honored Professor of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv”.
